Unlucky number 13 for Proteas
The Proteas have lost for the first time after playing 13 One Day International matches.
They needed 6 more runs but fell short against New Zealand while playing in Christchurch on Wednesday.
The Proteas were trying to bring the fire and break the national all-time record by winning 13 consecutive ODI games. But now, they will be sharing the record with Graeme Smith’s team of 2005.
South Africa did not have multimillionaire Kagiso Radaba on their side. He couldn’t play due to a sore knee. Could this have cost them their victory?
Despite their loss, Protea fans were not disappointed and expressed their pride and support for the team.

For now we’ll just have to wait until the next match on Saturday to see that #ProteaFire.
