In case you are moving to a new apartment and you are not sure which electronic brand to buy, LG is the way to go.
LG Electronics have recently been voted as one of the most locally used brands in South African township at the 2017 Kasi Brands Awards on May 16. The awards represent products that South Africans, irrelevant of background or living standards, are committed to, as brands that they will continue to purchase year after year. The recognition saw LG walking away with Kasi Awards in three different categories namely Televisions, Microwave Ovens and Washing Machines.
LG was recognised as a brand that defines a common experience, often on a daily basis, to which South Africa’s township consumers are committed in a real sense, and this was shown as consumers put their money where their mouths are, to demonstrate their commitment and loyalty to the brand.
Ask Afrika, a market research company conducted their annual benchmark, Kasi Star Brands, which is a tool for measuring return on investment (ROI) and loyal usage of brands amongst township consumers.
The Kasi Star Brands survey, that saw LG come out on top for its third year in a row, represented over 9 million consumers and included communities with over 8 000 inhabitants. The survey measured brands across hundreds of sub product categories and this year, 143 categories were included, 36 of which were Kasi Star Brands.
“LG strives to deliver products that make a difference in the lives of our consumers; products that are reliable, trustworthy and affordable,” says Liana Barnard, Corporate Communications and PR Manager at LG Electronics South Africa. “We are thrilled to be recognised for our efforts by the very consumers we work so hard to impress.”
