WATCH: What type of FIFA player are you?

Connect Contributor | 5 December 2016

A few weeks ago, we got to jam some FIFA 17 on Xbox One right here at the office (because our lives are dope and we do dope things).

What started as a simple product review, turned into a full-on FIFA 17 tournament including some of the unlikeliest characters we have here at Connect HQ.

The game itself offers brilliant visuals, gameplay and usability all of which really push 8th generation platforms to new and wonderful heights.

One feature that you can look out for in this edition of FIFA is the story mode. You will be placed in the shoes of a young chap trying to work his way into the big leagues.  Even better, EA Sports have looked out for us by not making the story mode an online-only feature, ‘cause that would be boring.

Here’s what you should know about the game:

THE GOOD:

  • Graphics
  • Gameplay
  • Realistic nature
  • User interface
  • Seeing a coach on a FIFA game, who would have thought!?
  • Realness of players’ gestures and emotions

THE BAD

  • The corners
  • You need to pray before taking a penalty

THE UGLY:

  • Itumeleng Khune on FIFA 17 still looks odd

But what really caught our attention was the very specific traits participants exhibited while throwing down in our impromptu tournament.

This made us realise there are literally a handful of FIFA player types. Check them out below:
